Roblox is chock full of different games – ranging from the pseudo-MMO like Era of Althea to horror games like Ikea Simulator. While each of these games cater to specific audiences, few have the sheer pull and massive audience of Adopt Me!

Adopt Me! is a creature collector game, similar to Tamagotchi or, if you really squint your eyes and pretend, Pokemon. Players collect pets via the egg shop or trading with other players, and level up via feeding, playing, bathing, and otherwise taking care of their pets.

Unlike most other Roblox games, Adopt Me! has no codes for new players looking to dive in. Instead, players can log in daily to receive rewards, purchase gacha spins with Robux, or explore and play mini-games to win cash (the in-game currency, not actual cash.)

If you're looking for a beginner's guide to Adopt Me!, look no further. We have what you need down below.

What Are Eggs?

When you load into Adopt Me!, you'll be tasked with creating a custom character, editing your clothes, accessories, and even your house. Once you've completed that, you'll be guided through a small tutorial that ultimately results in you getting an egg and hatching it into your first pet.

During that process, you'll be guided through the Egg Shop, which is your hub to obtain new pets. You should note the prices listed next to certain NPCs. The more expensive the egg, the more likely you are to receive a rarer pet.

This is where Adopt Me! reveals its true form as a gacha game. You need to pay for spins to access the Egg Gacha with three permanent categories and one limited category. As with any gacha, you are not guaranteed to get something you want, so buyer beware!

Permanent Egg Banner List

The Permanent Egg Gachas will never rotate out, and are always available. The Royal Egg Gacha notably removes the Common tier pets from the pool, and has the best chance of snagging an Ultra-Rare or Legendary pet – but it also costs a whopping $1450 in-game cash to pull.

Here are the creatures you can find in the permanent Egg Banners, along with their rates:

Limited Egg Gacha

The Limited Egg Gachas rotate out periodically. What may be an Ocean Egg gacha for a few months will eventually rotate out to a Fossil Egg gacha afterwards. There are too many Limited Egg pools to go over in-depth, but the Limited Egg Gacha is where you will get the most bang for your buck at only $750 in-game cash per spin. As the Limited Eggs cycle out seasonally, any pets you obtain will likely go up in rarity as they get replaced!

Event Eggs

Event Eggs are obtained by playing Adopt Me! during specific periods of time, such as Easter or Christmas. While you probably have already missed out on prior events, such as Easter 2020, the developers of Adopt Me! will have future events for holidays.

And that's the Beginner's Egg Guide to Adopt Me! Are you aiming for a Dragon pet, or perhaps would like to try and obtain a Giraffe from the no longer obtainable Safari Egg set?
